This is a really nice sportweight yarn that features a cabled 8ply construction. What that means is that the yarn is very round and will show stitch definition really well, and will be resistant to abrasion. This yarn will be the perfect yarn to use for socks, garments, accessories… anywhere you want a great combination of softness and strength! It comes in 274yd/100g skeins, and takes dye beautifully. I hope you’ll give it a try!

I am introducing a BRAND NEW yarn base tonight: Touring DK!

You guys are going to absolutely LOVE this new base. It is a lovely round 4ply yarn, 100% superwash merino wool, and has 231yds/100g skein. I have test knit this base, and it showcases stitch definition beautifully with both lace and cables. I have quite a bit of this base in stock, so if you’re interested in a larger quantity to knit a sweater or other large project, then please feel free to send me a message! I’d be honored to dye some up for you!
I have another new yarn base going up in Thursday’s update, which will be my last shop update of 2012. I am debuting a new colorway tonight as well. It is called Arabian Nights and features gorgeous purple, brilliant orange, steely gray, and reddish brown. I absolutely adore this colorway, and hope you do too!

A while back I was lucky enough to get to work with the wonderful Josh Ryks (aka swordofaknitter on Ravelry). I had Plurked several months ago asking for any designers interested in designing a pattern for my yarn, and Josh answered the call- and absolutely blew my mind with his creativity.
This coming Tuesday (12.11.12), the pattern Steelcity will be released for purchase on Ravelry, and I am so, so proud that my yarn was used to make it.
As you can tell, this shawl is a very different shape than you usually see- it’s a long, shallow VĀ that can be worn in SO many ways. And because it’s a very modern look, it would be great to make for either a man or a woman! It would definitely look best in a semisolid yarn, but I can see it being knit in so many colors… the possibilities really are endless with this piece!
The pattern calls for one skein of my Luxe sock yarn in Graphite, or approximately 430-440yds of fingering weight in a semisolid color. I will be listing 10 skeins of Graphite in Luxe in the shop update tomorrow, but if you miss it, don’t worry- I’ll have more going up in the shop soon. And if you want a custom order for a different color (or if you’d like to knit this pattern with my Twinkle base, which has roughly the same yardage as Luxe), please email me or send me a message through Etsy! š

Hi friends!
Sorry it’s been a bit since I last posted. I’ve had some personal stuff going on and took an internet hiatus for a week, just to get my head on straight and get focused again. So now I’m back, and better than ever!
Today’s shop update just went live, and so far all of these listings are still available for purchase.
In this update I debuted a brand new colorway on the Voyage Aran base, called Peacock.
This lovely new colorway features a tonal layer dye in bright aqua, deep peacock blue, and emerald green. I love how the colors blend seamlessly, but really add depth and dimension as well. Be on the lookout for this new colorway on other bases in the coming weeks!
