A while back I was lucky enough to get to work with the wonderful Josh Ryks (aka swordofaknitter on Ravelry). I had Plurked several months ago asking for any designers interested in designing a pattern for my yarn, and Josh answered the call- and absolutely blew my mind with his creativity.
This coming Tuesday (12.11.12), the pattern Steelcity will be released for purchase on Ravelry, and I am so, so proud that my yarn was used to make it.
As you can tell, this shawl is a very different shape than you usually see- it’s a long, shallow V that can be worn in SO many ways. And because it’s a very modern look, it would be great to make for either a man or a woman! It would definitely look best in a semisolid yarn, but I can see it being knit in so many colors… the possibilities really are endless with this piece!
The pattern calls for one skein of my Luxe sock yarn in Graphite, or approximately 430-440yds of fingering weight in a semisolid color. I will be listing 10 skeins of Graphite in Luxe in the shop update tomorrow, but if you miss it, don’t worry- I’ll have more going up in the shop soon. And if you want a custom order for a different color (or if you’d like to knit this pattern with my Twinkle base, which has roughly the same yardage as Luxe), please email me or send me a message through Etsy! 🙂
