1.24.13 Shop Update and Postage Rate Increase

Hi everybody! I hope you all are well! I have to admit that I completely forgot to post Monday’s update preview here on the blog… oops! I’m really sorry about that.

But here is today’s, and I hope you see something you love! The update goes live at 2pmET today.

1.24.13 Shop Update

Also going up in today’s update are a LOT of the Duckie preorders. I emailed everyone whose yarn is ready, so if you didn’t receive an email from me yet, don’t despair! I plan to try to have all of the yarn dyed and rehanked and listed by Monday at the latest, earlier if possible.

I also wanted to talk to you guys a bit about the upcoming postage increase. As you know if you’ve ordered from me for a while, I try VERY hard not to increase postage rates unless it is absolutely necessary, but I just can’t absorb the increases coming down the pipe from the USPS this time because they are so big. I promise to keep the rates as fair as possible, and I plan to expand the specific country prices to include a few more that I’ve seen increased traffic from. These increases will take place on the 26th, as the official increase takes place on the 27th and I will not ship anything from the 26th until the 28th anyway. See the “table” below to see what the increases will be.

Repeatable colorways are now on the blog!

Hello everyone!

If you listen to my podcast Just One More Row (and if you don’t, you really should! It’s great, if I do say so myself!), you have heard me talk about my goals for the shop this year. One of which was to get my repeatable colorways put up into a permanent place on the blog, and I’m proud to say that I have made a start on that! Right now only a few of my over 300 colorways are available to view, and they’re only pictured on yarn, but these were the colorways I felt I had good representative pictures of. As I redye the rest of the colorways, I’ll be adding their pictures in as well. I hope this will make custom ordering easier for everyone. And I’ll be adding pictures of the colorways on fiber soon as well.

Shop Update 1.10.12 and Duckie Preorders

Hello everybody! It’s that time again… the Thursday shop update preview!

1.10.12 Shop Update

Today we have some Twinkle Sock, Expedition Sport, and Touring DK yarn, as well as BFL/Silk, BFL, Moorit Shetland, and Corriedale roving. I am particularly enamored of the Morning Surf Touring DK yarn (bottom right in the mosaic). I hope you see something you love, and if not, then be sure to check back soon! The next shop update is scheduled for Monday January 14 at 8pmET.

Also in this update, I am opening preorders for the colorway I did for the  July 2012 shipment of the 2 Crafty Girls club, Duckie.

Duckie on Journey Sock

You might ask why I am doing this yarn as a preorder. Well, quite honestly, it is the most difficult dyeing I have ever done in my 6+ years of dyeing- it is a very very intensive process and just the dyework alone takes over 2 hours per skein. That is a lot of work to put into a skein of yarn without knowing for sure that it is headed to a loving home, so that’s why I’ve decided to open up preorders. There will be 8 skeins available on Journey Sock, 8 skeins on Weekend Sock, and 8 skeins on Luxe Sock available for preorder. If there is more interest, I will be glad to add more. Just shoot me an email!

New Year, New Updates! 1/7/13 Shop Update Preview

Hello everyone, and happy new year!! I hope the start of 2013 has been amazing for all of you. I am so excited about this year and what I have planned for the shop. I plan to introduce at least 2 more yarn bases, 3 more fiber bases, and I have a LOT of plans for new colorways!

But first… here is the first shop update preview of 2013… going live tonight 1/7/13 at 8pmET.

Shop Update 1/7/13

In this update we have Moorit Shetland, Falkland, Corriedale, and Polwarth/Silk Roving, and we have two different colors of Expedition Sport, one skein of Touring DK, one skein of Vacation Sock, and two skeins of Journey Sock.

Once again I’d like to remind you guys that I am indeed taking custom orders, and it is a GREAT time to put yours in as I don’t have a huge list of people waiting right now and could get to your order quickly. I also have all of my yarn bases in right now, and most of my fiber bases as well.
