I wanted to share today’s shop update preview with you! There are some real lovelies going up today!
4.30.13 Yarn Update
There are 4 skeins each of Aurora Borealis and Graphite on the Expedition Sport base- enough to knit a summer sweater for some sizes!
4.30.13 Fiber Update
There are 2 braids each of every colorway except for “Summer Storm”, pictured at right. There are also 2 sets of rolags in this update.
I wanted to show you guys a new colorway that is in the shop for the first time today, too:
“Teeny Bikini” on Merino Roving and Journey Sock
This is a fun new colorway for summer! It features shades of aqua and purple, and will be available on any base of yarn or fiber in the future. I hope you love it!
I also wanted to let you guys know that I am opening up a new series of listings, starting today. I am going to make custom orders available for immediate order and payment in my shop, by letting customers select the number of skeins they would like to purchase, and letting me know in the “Notes to Seller” box what colorway they would like. The bases that will be available for this type of ordering will be Expedition Sport, Journey Sock, and Touring DK, to start with. Other bases may become available later, if there is a demand. Just send me an email! I will do my best to fill sweater quantity orders in 3 weeks or less. Once the order has been placed, I will email you with an estimated ship date.
Thank you so much for checking out my update! I hope you see something you love! See you next week!
Hi friends! Sorry for forgetting to post the update on here last week… it went live a few minutes late, and I simply forgot. Regardless, here is this week’s update! It’s so big I’m breaking it into 3 mosaics for you to see.
You might have noticed that I am putting up a lot more fiber than yarn in this update. I haven’t had much chance to dye yarn lately due to my back problems (which are getting better, but I am still very careful not to overstress it). Hopefully in the next 2 weeks I will be back into yarn-dyeing mode and will have more for you guys!
I also wanted to let y’all know that I am opening up preorders for my second 2 Crafty Girls Club colorway, “Re-Entry.” This colorway is from the Kevin Bacon round of the club, and was inspired by the movie “Apollo 13” and the flames at the bottom of the Apollo space module as the crew made their dramatic re-entry into the Earth’s atmosphere.
This is a space-dyed colorway. It will be offered on Journey Sock (80% superwash merino/20% nylon, 400yds/100g), and there will be a limited run of 10 skeins available to start with. If there is demand, I will open more preorder spots. This yarn will take approximately 2-3 weeks to dye and ship.
Thanks so much for reading the blog! I hope y’all are having a wonderful week, and I’ll talk to you soon!
I am in the process of planning what to dye for SSK this July, and I am looking for your help. If you are attending this show, I’d love to hear your input on what you’re looking for in my booth. I have created a Google form that you can fill out and request specific yarn or fiber bases, as well as colorways. Filling out the form in no way obligates you to purchase what you suggest; I’m merely using it as a guide to know what to dye, so I can bring what people want to purchase!
Please visit this link to fill out the form. Your responses are completely confidential.
Thank you so much!! I appreciate your time!!
Hi everybody! I hope the past week has been great for you guys! I have been hard at work putting together a GREAT update for today! With no more ado, here are the previews…
4.9.13 Shop Update- Spinning Fiber
4.9.13 Shop Update- Rolags
4.9.13 Shop Update- Yarns
I am making it a point in the future to put up pairs of everything if possible, just in case you have a larger project in mind when you shop with me. As always, I am open to custom orders if you see something you like, but there isn’t a large enough quantity your project.
Today I am introducing a new colorway, in honor of both my first wedding anniversary, and my 6-year dating anniversary with my husband. It is called “6&1”, and is featured today on Journey Sock. It is a space dyed colorway, featuring shades of turquoise, medium blue, chestnut brown, and pecan brown. Because it is space dyed, this colorway will only be available on yarn.

Well I guess that’s it for me this week! Thank you all SO much for your continued support of my shop, and I hope you see something you love in the update!
Hey friends! I hope this finds you well.
I have been considering making a change for some time, but wanted to be sure that I gave it a lot of thought before implementing anything new. It is becoming necessary for me to rethink my updates because my schedule is getting more and more demanding, and I don’t want the shop to suffer because of it. I have decided to stop having twice weekly updates, and have just one update a week, on Tuesdays at 4pmET. I want to give both North American and International customers the best chance possible to shop when there is a good selection. The updates will be larger because I will have more time to prepare for them, and it will also free me up to do more custom orders as they arise.
That being said, there will be no shop update this Thursday 4/4, but the update will now be moved to Tuesday 4/9. I thank all of you so much for your continued support, and appreciate your patience as I make this important transition.
Hey friends! I hope you all had a great Easter weekend. Sorry I didn’t post about last Thursday’s update… I was swamped with administrative things, and didn’t even get a chance to post the update til 4pm!
Anyway, here is tonight’s 8pmET shop update preview…
4.1.13 Shop Update
I am reintroducing a colorway tonight. It is one of my older space-dyed colorways, and one I find particularly striking. This is Cedar Waxwing.
“Cedar Waxwing” on Twinkle Sock
It is made up of two shades of brown, plus a large amount of gold. It looks absolutely stunning knitted up- try it and you’ll see! 🙂
I am also debuting a brand new colorway tonight, designed in honor of (and named by!) Leslie of The Knit Girllls podcast. It is a gorgeous tonal colorway featuring shades of peach, orange, and red, and is called Stop and Smell The Poppies.

It is also available in this update on Falkland fiber.

I think this colorway perfectly captures Leslie’s vivacious personality and sense of humor. I hope you’ll give it a try!
And as always, I’ll see you guys back here on Thursday for the 2pmET shop update preview! Have a great week!
