3.25.14 Shop Update

Hello all!

I just got back from a fun and educational weekend at Camp Pluckyfluff in Asheville NC this past weekend. It was so much fun, and I think I finally  mastered a couple of art yarn techniques! You might even start to see a skein or two of handspun start to pop up in the shop in the next few weeks.

Here is today’s 4pmET shop update preview.

Next week’s update will be the last shop update until after Stitches South (the next one after Stitches will be 4/22). The shop will remain open while I’m gone to Stitches, but nothing will be shipped from 4/9 til 4/15. Thank you for your understanding!

And if you’re going to be at Stitches, be sure to come by my booth to see me and all of my goodies in person! I’m in booth # 242, right across from the concession stand!

See you next week!

3.18.14 Shop Update

Hello all! 🙂

I hope you’ve all had a fabulous week since I talked to you last! I’ve been working like a mad thing, dyeing up stuff for the shop and for Stitches, and also for another little thing I’ll tell you about in a sec. But first, here is today’s 4pmET shop update preview.

All of these beauties are already up in the shop in preview mode, and I will make them available for purchase right at 4pmET. 🙂 As you can tell I’m in the “blues” segment of my dye schedule, but since y’all seem to buy a lot of blues from me, I figured you wouldn’t mind.

As I said I’ve been dyeing up a lot of stuff for Stitches and the shop, but I am also dyeing up a bit of stuff to take with me this weekend to Camp Pluckyfluff in Asheville NC! Brittany and I are taking a girls’ trip with our good buddy Kim to take this wonderful workshop on art yarns, and we were asked by Lexi Boeger (Pluckyfluff herself) if anyone who dyed/sewed/etc. would bring things to sell in a little mini market. Well of course I will! I won’t have a LOT of stuff there (about 4lb of fiber, I think, maybe a little less, plus some yarn) but I will be bringing a few things at the least. And of course my fiber-and-yarn transport bags are full to bursting with goodies for Stitches South… more on that another time though.

I hope all of you have a great week, and I’ll talk to you soon!

3.4.14 Shop Update

Hello everyone! It’s been a very busy week since I spoke with you last. I have dyed up over 200 skeins of yarn… unfortunately today’s update is still rather small, because most of them were for Stitches and to finish out the Birth of Venus and Bonnie Wee Thing custom orders!

Anyways, here is today’s 4pmET update preview…

As you can see on the bottom left, there is one skein of Gracie Pearl in this week’s update. Last week’s skeins were the first ones I ever did, you so you can expect the future ones to look like this one does. I think it’s absolutely spectacular. Also in this week’s update are (top, left to right): Abalone on Touring DK, Baltic Amber on Journey Sock, First Frost on Journey Sock; (bottom, left to right): Gracie Pearl on Journey Sock, Stormfront on Touring DK, and Woodsman on Luxe Sock.

Thanks so much to all of you who have continued to express interest in custom orders from me. Unfortunately what I said in last week’s post still holds: I absolutely cannot do any custom orders until the end of April at the earliest. Dyeing for Stitches, the shop, and the retreat are taking up every list minute of my available dye time. I appreciate all of your interest, though, and will announce it here on the blog when I am able to take custom orders again. Thank you!

Just as a reminder, don’t forget to post your FOs and handspun yarns using Unwind Yarn Company products in my quarterly contest thread on the shop Ravelry group! Every quarter I do a drawing out of the entries in that thread for a $25 shop gift certificate!

I hope you all have an awesome week, and I’ll be talking to you soon!
